- Characters bonding over domestic things (especially cooking/baking/grocery shopping/other things to do with food), characters arguing over domestic things, characters making up with each other with domestic things. People doing each other’s laundry as a sign of affection, people making food for each other as a sign of affection, or to show their annoyance, but they love them anyway.
- Transformation, especially wings/extra arms. Preferably with some horror, but not too much of the “snapping of bones” variety. “My body isn’t mine anymore/my body has changed” but not the visceral gooey bits of it, more the existential threat.
- Themes of things repeating, traditions, “we’ve done this before, but let’s try it again anyway, to see what works.”

Isolated cabins in the mountains, beach houses late at night, empty streets at the very end of the day. That sweet desolation you feel, looking over an empty space and it’s just you and the one you love.
- Places with personality. Old houses with a lot of rooms, towns that have history, forests that love you and also kind of want to eat you, the ocean that will tell you its secrets as it swallows you up.
- Pining that’s trying to be subtle but isn’t. People in denial about their own feelings, then giving in to them in private. People being embarrassed and happy and sad and complicated at being in love, platonically or romantically or in ways that even they aren’t sure about.

Never out of malice, never out of anger, but out of a genuine belief that they’re doing the right thing. This can tie into ABDL stuff, where someone is babied because they can’t be trusted to take care of themselves, There’s a lot of “this is for your own good, sweetheart” condescension.

- I’m a big fan of any kind of monsters; old gods in forests that are unhappily disturbed, man made constructs that are held together with magic and science and some unholy amalgamation of the two, aliens from beyond the stars that are so beyond our comprehension that we can’t even begin to wrap our heads around them.
- I love haunted houses. Ghosts that you can just see out of the corner of your eye, but you’re not sure if they’re there or not. Something that is old and terrifying and maybe it will eat you and maybe it will love you and how will you be able to find out?
- Places that are old in ways that people can’t even begin to comprehend. Places that are big and strange and may just be sleeping monsters that characters walk on like so much lice.
- People not being sure if they can trust their own minds, dream logic bleeding into the real world. People following the rules of fairy tales, and all the terrifying implications thereof.
- Being very small in a large universe. Being at the mercy of someone who you don’t know you can trust, who is dangerous but loving in their own way.
- Being the monster yourself, or being afraid that you are. Being something that people are afraid of, and not sure if they’re right to be afraid of you.
- People who love someone else so much they just want to keep them safe from everything. Including themselves.
- Time loops - things repeating themselves, and you know they’re repeating themselves, but nobody else seems to listen to you when you try to explain it.
Seasonal Likes
- I really love all of the cliche autumn things - crisp air, crunchy leaves, thick sweaters, hot apple cider. I’d really love characters experiencing them together.
- There’s always a hint of melancholy for me, when it comes to autumn, and I’d love something exploring that. Something about things changing, about the end of summer and the freedom it may have had.
- Autumn is a very food heavy season for me - I’d love fic of people baking together, cooking. Going apple picking and making pie, cooking thanksgiving meals, making cookies or hot chocolate from scratch.
- I love the clothing of this season - the big sweaters, boots, hats, gloves. Characters sharing clothes with each other, characters loaning clothing to each other, characters gifting each other or making each other things.
- I love the rituals for autumn - Halloween, back to school, Thanksgiving. I, personally, grew up with the high holy days as well, although that doesn’t really apply to any of these characters, but giving some kind of important holiday (Maybe the Doctor takes her companions to a planet with autumn celebrations, or the Hargreeves always do something impressive for their birthday?) would be nice.
- Autumn always feels a little bit like things winding down - animals preparing to hunker down into hibernation, people preparing for long, cold winters. I really love the theme of being on the very outskirts of a change, right before it happens. Noticing the signs and resisting at first, then getting swept away in spite of themselves.

I really love the idea of the Doctor being haunted by her past wrongs in some way - maybe she has nightmares about what happened to Bill, or her guilt about Missy, or the aching loss of River. Maybe she’s still mad at the Master, and the extent of her rage terrifies her even as it gives her energy. For Yaz/Thirteen/the Master specifically, I really like the idea of her feeling like she’s torn between her good impulses and her bad - maybe going so far as to symbolize it as her body changing?
On the less spooky side, I’d love her having romantic times with anyone other than the Master (unless maybe Yaz/Doctor/Master, where he’s trying to out-romance Yaz, because I find the idea frankly hilarious). I’d love the idea of her sharing some space holiday with crunchy leaves & thick sweaters and hot drinks, or maybe her ending up at a companion’s house for some big autumn meal (I know British people don’t do Thanksgiving, but maybe she gets invited to a Khan family dinner for someone’s birthday, or something similar?).

Spooky wise, there is so much potential in this canon. Especially creeping psychological dread, or the kind of buillshit that comes with a horrible father like Reginald, and their ridiculous childhood. Alternately, the spookiness of being out of time. I’d love the idea of Lila in the mansion itself. The mansion as a sentient thing that isn’t sure it likes Lila, & one of the other siblings being there to help her through it. Maybe the siblings growing up in the mansion itself, and it being just a little bit haunted, and the different ways the various ships learned to deal with it? If you get a different idea that you’d like to follow, please go for it, by all means!
For seasonal prompts, I’d love stuff with them doing cosy autumn things. Thanksgiving, baking pies, going on long walks, carving pumpkins. Maybe, if it’s a sibling pair, them reclaiming some lost childhood thing. If it’s a Lila pairing, maybe her trying to do something normal (as opposed to their weird upbringings), & the two characters being bad at it, but doing their best. Maybe trying their own traditions, however weird they may be.

I’d love to see more angels as well - something about the horror of the angels to the folks in the Church of Night, or a ritual gone wrong (or weird). Or heck, a ritual gone right, in exactly the wrong way.
For seasonal things in this canon, I’d love stuff where there’s a lot of holding hands while walking through the woods while the leaves crunch underfoot, maybe meditations by the characters of the nature of the season - how things change, how things die & sleep & come back again. The beauty in the sadness of it, and the delight at the same time.

I’d love the idea of her sharing some space holiday with crunchy leaves & thick sweaters and hot drinks, or maybe her ending up at a companion’s house for some big autumn meal (I know British people don’t do Thanksgiving, but maybe she gets invited to a Khan family dinner for someone’s birthday, or something similar?).

Spooky wise, there is so much potential in this canon. Especially creeping psychological dread, or the kind of buillshit that comes with a horrible father like Reginald, and their ridiculous childhood. Alternately, the spookiness of being out of time. I’d love the idea of Lila in the mansion itself. The mansion as a sentient thing that isn’t sure it likes Lila, & one of the other siblings being there to help her through it. Maybe the siblings growing up in the mansion itself, and it being just a little bit haunted, and the different ways the various ships learned to deal with it? If you get a different idea that you’d like to follow, please go for it, by all means!
For seasonal prompts, I’d love stuff with them doing cosy autumn things. Thanksgiving, baking pies, going on long walks, carving pumpkins. Maybe, if it’s a sibling pair, them reclaiming some lost childhood thing. If it’s a Lila pairing, maybe her trying to do something normal (as opposed to their weird upbringings), & the two characters being bad at it, but doing their best. Maybe trying their own traditions, however weird they may be.

This canon is rife with spooky. I don’t have any specific requests for this - something with demons, maybe? I’d love to see more angels as well - something about the horror of the angels to the folks in the Church of Night, or a ritual gone wrong (or weird). Or heck, a ritual gone right, in exactly the wrong way.
For seasonal things in this canon, I’d love stuff where there’s a lot of holding hands while walking through the woods while the leaves crunch underfoot, maybe meditations by the characters of the nature of the season - how things change, how things die & sleep & come back again. The beauty in the sadness of it, and the delight at the same time.

I am still super new to this canon, and I absolutely love it. I don’t really have any ideas specific to it, but I’ve got a long list of likes, if that might help. The canon itself is pretty spooky already, and i’d love to see what you can do with it!
I honestly have no idea how you could make seasonal stuff work in this universe, but if you find a way to make it work, I will look forward to seeing it! I am not very picky, honestly.
