I’d love seeing her get a chance to be tender with someone (maybe helping someone recover from an injury, or being helped if she’s been injured?), or maybe her butting heads with someone and ultimately making up? If you want to have her with the Doctor (any Doctor), I’m good for it She’s got so much twisty, complicated history - I’d love to see her adventures in Perivale before joining the Doctor, her travels post series (if you want to go down that route) or one o0f her girlfriend’s of the week… all of those are good, or anything else you can think of! The lovely part of this canon is just how many options we’ve got! Just about anything with my favorite angry pyromaniac with Mommy issues will do! In regards to Ace/7 - I know that some folks aren’t comfortable with that ship, and that’s fine - you don’t need to write them together, I just ask that you do not state that they were not ever together/could not ever be together.

I am a recent comer to Vicki (the season 2 blurays were what got me, I’m a sucker for a behind the scenes plethora) and I absolutely love her. I love her spunk and her bravery, I love the way she is always willing to go in to make friends with anyone she can. The way she was willing to shout at Barbara about shooting her poor Sandy, the way she wanted to keep a Zarbi as a pet… I’d love to see what you can do with her! The fact that she’s from the future isn’t explored much in the show, which is something I’d love to see you play with, and the fact that she is kind of a feral goblin of a person isn’t seen very much on the show, but I’d love to see that in a fic, if you want to go down that road!

Oh, Mel. I love her so much. She’s so chipper and optimistic, and I love the fact that she manages to keep her optimism even after she’s seen all the… well, everything in the world. Especially thinking of the bit in Delta, where she explicitly says “I’d help anyone if I could,” or something along those lines. It would be a ton of fun to see her in a situation where she’s forced to deal with something unpleasant, or maybe she’s with a person who’s especially cranky? I’d love to see Mel’s chipperness rubbing off on someone else, or maybe she wins someone else over by being cranky/less chipper than usual? Honestly, anyone appreciating my favorite fitness freak computer programmer will make me happy! I will request nothing with her mentioning anyone’s weight, please.
Nyssa of Traken
I fucking love Nyssa. She’s such a complex, sad character and the fact that it never gets explored in the show still bums me out. I love how clever she is and how she’s always working so hard to be positive about her life - she mentions at one point that the TARDIS is her home now, and… yes. I’d love a fic where she’s connecting to someone over the fact that they’ve both lost someone (the Doctor post-Time War? Tegan and her Aunt Vanessa? Clara and her mother? These are all random suggestions, of course - I’m good with anything!). I’d also love something with someone admiring Nyssa for how smart she is - maybe another genius like Zoe, or maybe someone who’s got more street smarts versus Nyssa’s intellectual smarts. There’s also something I’d find very enjoyable and quite funny is Nyssa and her sudden bursts of violence when needed (think of her when she showed up with her gun in Mawdryn Undead!). I am also alright with Nyssa being underage, if you want to go down that road!
Tegan Jovanka
Tegan is just a delight. I love how cranky she is, and how compassionate. You can clearly see that one of the reasons she’s so angry at everything is because of all of the unfairness she deals with - there’s a line from the Target novelization of Castrovalva where she says something like “if the laws of the universe were being unfair, they should be subject to revision” or something along those lines. I’d love to see her having a chance to be tender with someone instead of being cranky, or maybe a glimpse of her butting heads with someone else? Or maybe Tegan in a situation where she’s the one who’s on familiar ground, versus off balance on some other planet or time. Or maybe you’ve got some other idea! I’m not picky - I’d just love to see where you’d like to go!

Peri is such a neat character. I love the contradiction of her - she’s practically Schrodinger’s cat in the ways she’s alive and dead at the same time. I fell in love with her the first time we see her shouting at the Master, and I would love to see some fic with her. Maybe something where she gets to show off her botany skills? I know the show didn’t do much with them, unfortunately. I’d be cool with something exploring the timeline weirdness of her - if you want to go from the audios, I’m okay with that! Heck, if you want to explore her life with Yrcanos an whatever that might be, I’d be happy with that too! I’m not super picky, honestly - I don’t have any speciifc ideas for her, but I love seeing her!

I’d love to see a fic with her getting to be impressive to someone - maybe her science abilities, or all the knowledge she has of aliens. If you wanted to put her with the Doctor specifically, I’d love to see some of her hero worship running head on into the Doctor’s… everything. Heck, no matter who you’re putting her with, I’d love to see her relationship with the Doctor (even the parasocial “wow I think you’re amazing-ness”) from someone else’s POV - maybe a former companion? Maybe a classic character? I’m not super picky, honestly? She’s just such a fun character.
Clara Oswin Oswald
I love Clara so much. She’s such a weirdo, and I say this affectionately. The fact that the loves the Doctor so hard always makes me feel so many things - she jumped into the Doctor’s time stream to save them! She, in her own way, tried to become them! She’s so flawed - arrogant, thoughtless, avoidant. But she’s also so wonderful - brave, clever, funny, kind. I would love to see someone falling her for her for her brilliance and her flaws - maybe a former companion who sees her codependency with the Doctor, maybe someone from the past? Doctor Who as a canon is always a good one for jumping around the timeline, but Clara in particular is always good for meeting people up and down the timeline. I am very excited to see where you can go with her!

Yaz is just. Oh Yaz. I love her. I love her so much. She’s a mess, and she works so hard at being the best she can. She wants to save everyone, and in doing so she manages to save herself. She has the best companion exit of all of them, and I’d love an exploration of her coming into herself - the process of being a person again post PotD, versus the Doctor’s traveling companion/the next Doctor. Also something exploring her history, maybe? We know she was bullied relentlessly, we know how lonely she was. I’d love something exploring her history - maybe even something with her realizing how far she’s come, or her during her travels with Dan admiring her or… well, the possibilities are endless, and I’m sure you’ve got a great idea! She’s such a complicated, intense character & I would love to see where you can take her!

Oh Kate! Apart from the whole “wow hot older woman in authority” angle, which is admittedly a very strong angle, she’s such an interesting character. She’s the head of UNIT - but as a scientist, not a soldier. She’s clearly working very hard to be good at what she does - we see the way she fights the Grand Serpent, all the thought she put into fighting him. I don’t have any specific ideas about her, but I’m sure you can think of something interesting to do!

I’d love seeing her get a chance to be tender with someone (maybe helping someone recover from an injury, or being helped if she’s been injured?), or maybe her butting heads with someone and ultimately making up? If you want to have her with the Doctor (any Doctor), I’m good for it She’s got so much twisty, complicated history - I’d love to see her adventures in Perivale before joining the Doctor, her travels post series (if you want to go down that route) or one o0f her girlfriend’s of the week… all of those are good, or anything else you can think of! The lovely part of this canon is just how many options we’ve got! Just about anything with my favorite angry pyromaniac with Mommy issues will do! In regards to Ace/7 - I know that some folks aren’t comfortable with that ship, and that’s fine - you don’t need to write them together, I just ask that you do not state that they were not ever together/could not ever be together.
Vicki Pallister
I am a recent comer to Vicki (the season 2 blurays were what got me, I’m a sucker for a behind the scenes plethora) and I absolutely love her. I love her spunk and her bravery, I love the way she is always willing to go in to make friends with anyone she can. The way she was willing to shout at Barbara about shooting her poor Sandy, the way she wanted to keep a Zarbi as a pet… I’d love to see what you can do with her! The fact that she’s from the future isn’t explored much in the show, which is something I’d love to see you play with, and the fact that she is kind of a feral goblin of a person isn’t seen very much on the show, but I’d love to see that in a fic, if you want to go down that road!
Melanie Bush
Oh, Mel. I love her so much. She’s so chipper and optimistic, and I love the fact that she manages to keep her optimism even after she’s seen all the… well, everything in the world. Especially thinking of the bit in Delta, where she explicitly says “I’d help anyone if I could,” or something along those lines. It would be a ton of fun to see her in a situation where she’s forced to deal with something unpleasant, or maybe she’s with a person who’s especially cranky? I’d love to see Mel’s chipperness rubbing off on someone else, or maybe she wins someone else over by being cranky/less chipper than usual? Honestly, anyone appreciating my favorite fitness freak computer programmer will make me happy! I will request nothing with her mentioning anyone’s weight, please.
Nyssa of Traken
I fucking love Nyssa. She’s such a complex, sad character and the fact that it never gets explored in the show still bums me out. I love how clever she is and how she’s always working so hard to be positive about her life - she mentions at one point that the TARDIS is her home now, and… yes. I’d love a fic where she’s connecting to someone over the fact that they’ve both lost someone (the Doctor post-Time War? Tegan and her Aunt Vanessa? Clara and her mother? These are all random suggestions, of course - I’m good with anything!). I’d also love something with someone admiring Nyssa for how smart she is - maybe another genius like Zoe, or maybe someone who’s got more street smarts versus Nyssa’s intellectual smarts. There’s also something I’d find very enjoyable and quite funny is Nyssa and her sudden bursts of violence when needed (think of her when she showed up with her gun in Mawdryn Undead!). I am also alright with Nyssa being underage, if you want to go down that road!
Tegan Jovanka
Tegan is just a delight. I love how cranky she is, and how compassionate. You can clearly see that one of the reasons she’s so angry at everything is because of all of the unfairness she deals with - there’s a line from the Target novelization of Castrovalva where she says something like “if the laws of the universe were being unfair, they should be subject to revision” or something along those lines. I’d love to see her having a chance to be tender with someone instead of being cranky, or maybe a glimpse of her butting heads with someone else? Or maybe Tegan in a situation where she’s the one who’s on familiar ground, versus off balance on some other planet or time. Or maybe you’ve got some other idea! I’m not picky - I’d just love to see where you’d like to go!
Peri Brown
Peri is such a neat character. I love the contradiction of her - she’s practically Schrodinger’s cat in the ways she’s alive and dead at the same time. I fell in love with her the first time we see her shouting at the Master, and I would love to see some fic with her. Maybe something where she gets to show off her botany skills? I know the show didn’t do much with them, unfortunately. I’d be cool with something exploring the timeline weirdness of her - if you want to go from the audios, I’m okay with that! Heck, if you want to explore her life with Yrcanos an whatever that might be, I’d be happy with that too! I’m not super picky, honestly - I don’t have any speciifc ideas for her, but I love seeing her!

Osgood is such a fascinating character to me. I feel like she is, in her own way, an audience stand in character, and she manages to be the kindest audience stand in character I’ve ever seen. I’d love to see a fic with her getting to be impressive to someone - maybe her science abilities, or all the knowledge she has of aliens. If you wanted to put her with the Doctor specifically, I’d love to see some of her hero worship running head on into the Doctor’s… everything. Heck, no matter who you’re putting her with, I’d love to see her relationship with the Doctor (even the parasocial “wow I think you’re amazing-ness”) from someone else’s POV - maybe a former companion? Maybe a classic character? I’m not super picky, honestly? She’s just such a fun character.
Clara Oswin Oswald
I love Clara so much. She’s such a weirdo, and I say this affectionately. The fact that the loves the Doctor so hard always makes me feel so many things - she jumped into the Doctor’s time stream to save them! She, in her own way, tried to become them! She’s so flawed - arrogant, thoughtless, avoidant. But she’s also so wonderful - brave, clever, funny, kind. I would love to see someone falling her for her for her brilliance and her flaws - maybe a former companion who sees her codependency with the Doctor, maybe someone from the past? Doctor Who as a canon is always a good one for jumping around the timeline, but Clara in particular is always good for meeting people up and down the timeline. I am very excited to see where you can go with her!

Yaz is just. Oh Yaz. I love her. I love her so much. She’s a mess, and she works so hard at being the best she can. She wants to save everyone, and in doing so she manages to save herself. She has the best companion exit of all of them, and I’d love an exploration of her coming into herself - the process of being a person again post PotD, versus the Doctor’s traveling companion/the next Doctor. Also something exploring her history, maybe? We know she was bullied relentlessly, we know how lonely she was. I’d love something exploring her history - maybe even something with her realizing how far she’s come, or her during her travels with Dan admiring her or… well, the possibilities are endless, and I’m sure you’ve got a great idea! She’s such a complicated, intense character & I would love to see where you can take her!
Kate Lethbridge-Stewart
Oh Kate! Apart from the whole “wow hot older woman in authority” angle, which is admittedly a very strong angle, she’s such an interesting character. She’s the head of UNIT - but as a scientist, not a soldier. She’s clearly working very hard to be good at what she does - we see the way she fights the Grand Serpent, all the thought she put into fighting him. I don’t have any specific ideas about her, but I’m sure you can think of something interesting to do!
