Isolated cabins in the mountains, beach houses late at night, empty streets at the very end of the day. That sweet desolation you feel, looking over an empty space and it’s just you and the one you love.
- Places with personality. Old houses with a lot of rooms, towns that have history, forests that love you and also kind of want to eat you, the ocean that will tell you its secrets as it swallows you up.
- Pining that’s trying to be subtle but isn’t. People in denial about their own feelings, then giving in to them in private. People being embarrassed and happy and sad and complicated at being in love, platonically or romantically or in ways that even they aren’t sure about.
- Daemon AUs. Please give me all the people with their souls on the outside of their bodies as animals. People with daemons that make total sense, people with daemons that make everyone double take, daemons that are small enough to hide in someone’s sleeve, daemons that are big enough to lean on. I love this ship - the two of them have amazing chemistry when we see them in Dragonfire, and I’d love to see where you go with them! Maybe an AU where the two of them both traveled with 7 and Mel didn’t go with Glitz, maybe they meet up again… I’m really not picky, honestly, but I’d love to see whatever you can do with them! I’d especially adore anything that involves the both of them being awkward and snippy with each other, at least at first. They’ve both got so much personality, and the ways they can end up butting heads would be absolutely delightful! I cannot wait to see what you can dow ith them!
Mags/Ace McShane
Mags and Ace are one of my favoritte parts of Greatest Show (other than all the other parts of it, let us be real), and I’d really love to see what you can do with them. Maybe something in the future? (I haven’t listened to Mags’ audio, so I don’t know her future). Maybe soemthing with Mags’ transformation/her werewolf-ness? I really dug the bit in the audiobook for Greatest Show where Ace describes Mags as a “well dressed punk”, and it’d be neat to see that explored - maybe Ace being into the fact that Mags is an alien? Or… well, whatever else you can imagine!
Peri Brown/F!Fifth Doctor
We don’t see a ton of them together on the show, but what we do see was really… cute? I really love how cute they are together, honestly? I’ve always headcanoned that Five had a bit of a crush on Peri (that’s one reason why things… go the way they do with Six), and I’d love to see that displayed! Female!Five would be absolutely adorable, and I’m super curious where you would go with her. I don’t have any specific ideas for the two of them, but I’d love to see where you could go with them!

Full disclosure, I absolutely adore Six. The loud fashion sense, the pomposity, the theatricality… I’d love to see that character as a woman (I will ask you keep the coat, please), and seeing the way she and Peri knock heads would be equally delightful. Maybe the way the two of them end up snipping & snarking at each other that’s secretly hiding the affection, maybe the two of them rattling around the TARDIS and trying to figure out how to… work together, in the aftermath of Six’s regeneration, or… well, I’m good for whatever else you might come up with!
Susan Foreman/Ace McShane
These two never meet each other in canon, but I bet it would be a ton of fun to see them interact. They’re on opposite ends of the Doctor’s life, in their own way - the Doctor’s very first (on screen) companion for classic, the Doctor’s last (on screen) companion for the classic series. His granddaughter and his mentee - I could see Ace having fun getting to be a “protector” for Susan, or Susan impressing Ace with her cleverness. If you end up writing the two of these two, I can’t wait to see where it goes!

I’ll be really honest, I have no clue how this would go. I love all three of these characters, though, and I’d love to see where you might go with it. Maybe Nyssa and Tegan end up inviting Ace in… somehow, or maybe one of them flirts with her and the other one joins in, or… well, maybe they just all bond over how aggravating the Doctor can be. Regardless of what you do with them, I look forward to seeing it!

Their matching costumes in Blck Orchid are absolutely adorable, and the way the two of them are usually in the background of other scenes - I’d love to see them getting to know each other, maybe getting closer. Maybe the fall out (and eventual getting back together) over Tegan’s hurt feelings about being left behind, or even some future time ala Farewell Sarah Jane. I’m good for just about anything, I love these two girls and would love to see what you can do with them!

I can see them knocking heads about their different philosophies, & also possibly getting on like a house on fire. Again, no idea how the two of them would meet, but it would be fun. It’d be neat to see Hebe kinking on Valarie’s robot limbs, or maybe Valarie being super into Hebe’s very Organic body? I feel like there’s a lot of chances for mutual “wow, that’s weird which I am an utter sucker for.

I’d love to see this played with - maybe 13 visiting Claire after Village of the Angels but before Claire meets her, maybe something where Claire can flat out say “I know you’re going to regenerate” or something like that? Or maybe something completely different - I’d love to see where you could go with it!

These two could have been contemporaries! Sort of. I’d love them meeting when they’re both younger - maybe Donna looking up to the cool hooligan, or the two of them butting heads? I came out of Power of the Doctor shipping these two a lot harder than I expected, and I would absolutely adore seeing where you might go with them. They’re both also gorgeous people, so even if it was just “I’m lonely and you Get It” I’d be all over it. I am sure there are a ton of places you could go with the both of them, and I’d love to see!

I feel like Ace would be the exact sort of person that Osgood would have the biggest crush on - I’ve always got the vibe that she’s got a crush on Kate, and Ace is a lot like Kate. Maybe Ace being impressed by Osgood, since… well, Osgood is pretty damn impressive! I’m not super picky, honestly, I just love the idea of the two of them meeting (and smooching/fucking/etc).

I can’t think of much in terms of plot for these two, although I think they’d like each other. I will admit that I can see them butting heads - I feel like Clara’s control freak tendencies would clash pretty hard with Ace’s general hatred of any kind of control, but also Ace is a hot badass MILF and I can totally see Clara wanting to impress her or one up her or be one upped by her… the possibilities are endless, really.

I love this ship - the two of them have amazing chemistry when we see them in Dragonfire, and I’d love to see where you go with them! Maybe an AU where the two of them both traveled with 7 and Mel didn’t go with Glitz, maybe they meet up again… I’m really not picky, honestly, but I’d love to see whatever you can do with them! I’d especially adore anything that involves the both of them being awkward and snippy with each other, at least at first. They’ve both got so much personality, and the ways they can end up butting heads would be absolutely delightful! I cannot wait to see what you can dow ith them!
Mags/Ace McShane
Mags and Ace are one of my favoritte parts of Greatest Show (other than all the other parts of it, let us be real), and I’d really love to see what you can do with them. Maybe something in the future? (I haven’t listened to Mags’ audio, so I don’t know her future). Maybe soemthing with Mags’ transformation/her werewolf-ness? I really dug the bit in the audiobook for Greatest Show where Ace describes Mags as a “well dressed punk”, and it’d be neat to see that explored - maybe Ace being into the fact that Mags is an alien? Or… well, whatever else you can imagine!
Peri Brown/F!Fifth Doctor
We don’t see a ton of them together on the show, but what we do see was really… cute? I really love how cute they are together, honestly? I’ve always headcanoned that Five had a bit of a crush on Peri (that’s one reason why things… go the way they do with Six), and I’d love to see that displayed! Female!Five would be absolutely adorable, and I’m super curious where you would go with her. I don’t have any specific ideas for the two of them, but I’d love to see where you could go with them!

Full disclosure, I absolutely adore Six. The loud fashion sense, the pomposity, the theatricality… I’d love to see that character as a woman (I will ask you keep the coat, please), and seeing the way she and Peri knock heads would be equally delightful. Maybe the way the two of them end up snipping & snarking at each other that’s secretly hiding the affection, maybe the two of them rattling around the TARDIS and trying to figure out how to… work together, in the aftermath of Six’s regeneration, or… well, I’m good for whatever else you might come up with!
Susan Foreman/Ace McShane
These two never meet each other in canon, but I bet it would be a ton of fun to see them interact. They’re on opposite ends of the Doctor’s life, in their own way - the Doctor’s very first (on screen) companion for classic, the Doctor’s last (on screen) companion for the classic series. His granddaughter and his mentee - I could see Ace having fun getting to be a “protector” for Susan, or Susan impressing Ace with her cleverness. If you end up writing the two of these two, I can’t wait to see where it goes!

I’ll be really honest, I have no clue how this would go. I love all three of these characters, though, and I’d love to see where you might go with it. Maybe Nyssa and Tegan end up inviting Ace in… somehow, or maybe one of them flirts with her and the other one joins in, or… well, maybe they just all bond over how aggravating the Doctor can be. Regardless of what you do with them, I look forward to seeing it!

One of the original Doctor Who femslash ships! Their matching costumes in Blck Orchid are absolutely adorable, and the way the two of them are usually in the background of other scenes - I’d love to see them getting to know each other, maybe getting closer. Maybe after the two of them, after Tegan comes back. Maybe the fall out (and eventual getting back together) over Tegan’s hurt feelings about being left behind, or even some future time ala Farewell Sarah Jane. I’m good for just about anything, I love these two girls and would love to see what you can do with them!

Lucie and Charley never actually meet in canon, but I would honestly love to see them meet. I can imagine them getting on each other’s nerves, then getting on like a house on fire. It’d be especially nice to see someone who is flat out not that impressed with the Doctor interacting with… well, Charley Pollard! I’m totally cool with you going wibbly-wobbly with either of their timelines, since the canon is already LIke That.
Hebe Harriosn/Valarie Lockwood
The two of them would be fascinating together - Hebe, with her very intense “no, my body is my body & I will make it work for me” versus Valarie, who practically sees herself as modular. I can see them knocking heads about their different philosophies, & also possibly getting on like a house on fire. Again, no idea how the two of them would meet, but it would be fun. It’d be neat to see Hebe kinking on Valarie’s robot limbs, or maybe Valarie being super into Hebe’s very Organic body? I feel like there’s a lot of chances for mutual “wow, that’s weird which I am an utter sucker for.

The two of them have such amazing chemistry, and their two sets are two of my favorites. I would love to see what you can do with the two of them pulling each other’s pigtails - Mel tripping over her own feet, Hebe getting prickly and gradually letting her barrier down. I’d love to see whatever you can do with the two of them - I love them to absolute piece, and would love to see wherever you might take them!
Charley Pollard/Hebe Harrison
They never meet in canon, but it would be a ton of fun to see them meeting. I feel like Charley would possibly put her foot in her mouth, I think the culture clash of their two different time periods (and their different economic status) would be a ton of fun - if nothing else, they’ve both got a sense for adventure and an attitude of “devil take the hindmost!” as they run into the adventure, regardless of what the adventure may be!

I really love when the Doctor and the companions meet out of order, and I’d love to see that expanded on! I especially dug 13’s little monologue in Village of the Angels, where she said something along the lines of “you hid in something you knew I’d find, a human!” because… well, is there anything that the Doctor is more weak for than a human woman? I’d love to see this played with - maybe 13 visiting Claire after Village of the Angels but before Claire meets her, maybe something where Claire can flat out say “I know you’re going to regenerate” or something like that? Or maybe something completely different - I’d love to see where you could go with it!
Ace McShane/Donna Noble
These two could have been contemporaries! Sort of. I’d love them meeting when they’re both younger - maybe Donna looking up to the cool hooligan, or the two of them butting heads? Or maybe the two of them as adults, where Ace can tell there’s something about Donna that’s special, even if she can’t put her finger on it? I feel like once they stopped trying to kill each other they’d get on like a house on fire, and I’d love to see where you could go with this!

I came out of Power of the Doctor shipping these two a lot harder than I expected, and I would absolutely adore seeing where you might go with them. Ace exudes the kind of cool older badass that I feel like would be absolute catnip for Yaz, and i can imagine Ace seeing glimpses of herself in Yaz. They’re both also gorgeous people, so even if it was just “I’m lonely and you Get It” I’d be all over it. I am sure there are a ton of places you could go with the both of them, and I’d love to see!

I feel like Ace would be the exact sort of person that Osgood would have the biggest crush on - I’ve always got the vibe that she’s got a crush on Kate, and Ace is a lot like Kate. I’d really love some kind of crush on Ace - maybe Osgood getting to touch/wear the jacket, with her love of the Doctor’s clothing? Maybe Ace being impressed by Osgood, since… well, Osgood is pretty damn impressive! I’m not super picky, honestly, I just love the idea of the two of them meeting (and smooching/fucking/etc).
Clara Oswin Oswald/Ace McShane
I can’t think of much in terms of plot for these two, although I think they’d like each other. I will admit that I can see them butting heads - I feel like Clara’s control freak tendencies would clash pretty hard with Ace’s general hatred of any kind of control, but also Ace is a hot badass MILF and I can totally see Clara wanting to impress her or one up her or be one upped by her… the possibilities are endless, really.
Kate/Ace
I really love the idea of the two of them running into each other over the years - Mayne complicated feelings from Kate over the Brig speaking fondly about Ace at some point, maybe just the ways people tend to run into each other when they run in similar circles? I don't have any specific ideas for these two, but I'd really love to see where you can go with them!
